All we see everywhere is censor, censor, censor anymore! What is with all this body-shaming? We were all born naked, right?

Body image issue after body image issue have emerged right before our eyes for decades. And it is my belief that a large cause for this is the fact that people do not feel comfortable in their own skin to begin with!

The human body is beautiful, whether it is thin or plump or tall or short, it is beautiful. And every single person out there should be able to wrap his/her arms around it and hug tight!

Unfortunately, in many eyes nowadays, a naked body is associated with sexuality. But that just simply should not be the case! If more people learned to desexualise nudity, it could be looked at as normal, like it should be. The human body, not covered in clothing, should be revered, not slandered, not shamed, and most certainly not judged.

I want you to be able to go online and be able to distinguish: is that porn, or is that art? Of course, there is a lot of porn that is artistic, but there are also tons of pictures and videos of nude people, and they are not sexual at all! Just because someone is naked, doesn’t mean that they are calling out for sexual attention. It could just be that they are comfortable in their skin, that they are trying to show off their beauty in the simplest, purest, and freest of ways. There has been much controversy over this issue as the amount of naked tumblr’s rises steadily, but I admire all of those men, women, and people in between who are brave enough to say, “I don’t care! I love myself, I’m not ashamed of my body, and I’m going to show it off!”

Now, I’m not saying to go out there and be a nudist, though I would still respect you if you did.

What I am saying, however, is that everyone should spend at least an hour of naked alone time a day. Sleep naked. Dance naked. Stand in front of the mirror naked. And Embrace. Your. Body. Love your skin, love yourself! Your confidence will skyrocket, and you will feel fantastic in whatever you wear, because you will know that even if the fabric does not flatter you, you still have your beautiful body underneath it all, and that’s what matters…

Perhaps you’ll even emerge more comfortable being naked than I am in clothing!
